Institutional Child Abuse
San Francisco is a city without a soul, populated by monsters in human form.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are four common types of child abuse. Emotional abuse and neglect are two of them. Here are their definitions, as provided by the CDC:
“Emotional abuse refers to behaviors that harm a child’s self-worth or emotional well-being. Examples include name-calling, shaming, rejecting, withholding love, and threatening.”
“Neglect is the failure to meet a child’s basic physical and emotional needs. These needs include housing, food, clothing, education, access to medical care, and having feelings validated and appropriately responded to.”
In response to covid, San Francisco shut all outdoor playgrounds for more than 8 months. When my children and I entered playgrounds anyway, our fellow residents called the police, who then removed us with the threat of force.
There was never even the remotest scientific justification for the closure of outdoor playgrounds. Fear, dislike, and dismissal of children was always the primary motivation. The emotional abuse and neglect of children was always the outcome.
And then there is San Francisco’s closure of all of its public schools for almost 18 months. A truly staggering amount of time.
Here is my son “meeting” his teacher in August of 2020, on his first day of kindergarten. It was an hour or two per day of zoom meetings with “classmates” on a Google Chromebook issued by the school.
If you look at the CDC’s own definitions, it is clear that closing playgrounds is child abuse and that closing schools is child abuse. Children’s "basic physical and emotional needs” include playing and learning with their peers in every society on earth.
A city like San Francisco that commits institutional child abuse on such a massive scale is a city of monsters in human form.
Only monsters tell children that they cannot go outside to play, and then go out to dinner at restaurants like French Laundry.
Only monsters tell children that they cannot go to school, and then go out drinking at a bar with friends.
Only monsters force children to wear masks while playing sports, and then go out partying at nightclubs without a mask on.
Only monsters tell children that their needs and feelings do not matter because “children are resilient.”
In San Francisco, they are still abusing children. They are still shaming children for wanting to live like human beings. They are still telling children that their emotional well-being does not matter because “we are in a pandemic.”
They are still forcing 5-year-olds to get vaccinated against covid in order to participate in normal childhood activities. They are still forcing 2-year-olds to cover their faces with filthy rags in order to participate in normal childhood activities.
And no, this is not to protect the children. It was never about protecting the children.
Covid is not now, nor has it ever been, dangerous to children. Not a single person under the age of 21 has EVER died of covid in San Francisco.
As Nelson Mandela famously said, “there can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”
Everyone who lives in San Francisco is complicit in this institutional child abuse. It is a city without a soul, populated by monsters in human form.
You call them monsters, I call them pigs.
Meanwhile, the CDC quietly lowered the developmental milestones, which will adversely affect many kids. If your child can barely speak or read it's ok now, so no assistance for you! It was as cowardly a move as I have ever seen.
